3 More Districts Vote Transparency

Middletown, Marlboro, and Manalapan continue to do what Hanover started by revising Transgender Policy 5756. The schools will now notify parents if their child has changed their gender identity. This is a big win in light of the fact that NJ DOH reported that there has been a 4000+% increase in children that identify as non-binary from 2019 to 2022 (pre-pandemic to post-pandemic).

Only parents can help a child that is struggling with gender identity. The fact that the Murphy administration is trying to force schools to hide this vital information from parents is quite disturbing. A child who is changing gender identity is at high risk for bullying and suicide. Keeping this vital information from the parents will most certainly hurt children by preventing parents from seeking help for their kids.

This change in policy is a direct result of parents running and getting on the school boards all over the state of New Jersey. Last year, here at the New Jersey Project, reported to have endorsed candidates who won over 151 BOE seats in 85 Districts.

Its time for more parents to get involved and RUN FOR BOE!!

LETS DO THIS!

So of course Murphy minion, AG Platkin, is suing Middletown Marlboro and Manalapan schools for writing policy that states that teachers, counselors will notify parents in regards to a student’s new gender identity or name change, provided there is no documented evidence that doing so would subject the student to physical or emotional harm or abuse.

The AG Platkin made a statement saying “The New Jersey Law Against Discrimination flatly prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender identity or expression, and we are firmly committed to taking swift action in response to any policy that violates that prohibition,” the offices said in a statement.

This makes no sense. How is it discrimination to notify parents about kids who are showing behaviors that put them at risk of depression, bullying and suicide? Kids who are compelled to change their name and gender are the most vulnerable of the vulnerable. These kids inches away from doing something very permanent on the spur of the moment. Why not allow outside common sense to persuade them to be level headed and get help? According to the statistics, these children are truly at risk youth so it should be a school’s OBLIGATION to notify parents of these behaviors. Schools should want parental involvement because more support ultimately helps children succeed.

Murphy is playing a game to pander to a minority, sacrificing the mental health of the kids. You think he would have learned his lesson by forcing students to wear masks 2 years at the objection of their parents. It seems like his mission in life is to prevent your kids from living their own happy and healthy lives.

We can look for help from the State legislature, however, Trenton agrees with anti-parent policies and act as Murphy’s puppets passing legislation that does not reflect the character of the State.

For example, in 2021, Murphy signed into law a recreational cannabis law that cops unable to investigate underage possession and use of marijuana and alcohol. Police officers can no longer confiscate contraband and cannot provide a warning to parents of teens and children under the age of 18. Under this law, officers must let the kids go even if it is the kid’s first, second, third or even 10th violation of the law.

It’s clear that Murphy and the state democrats want to keep parents in the dark about their kids.

I came across the phone number for constituents at the AG’s office:

1 (609) 984-5828

maybe you can call him and remind him that:

  1. The school policies of Marlboro, Manalapan, and Manalapan are created to have transparency between the school and students, this in no way violates the law.
  2. It is harmful to children to have the school conceal a kid’s gender identity distress from parents. Parents need to get kids help as soon as it is known that the child has an increased risk of suicide.
  3. Stop inserting your office between parents and kids.
