Since 2019, 4656% Increase in Children Identifying as Non-Binary in New Jersey Public Schools.

Since 2019, there has been a 4656% increase in the number of children identifying as non-binary in New Jersey public schools. According to the graph below, this growth appears to be slowing down. In the 2019/2020 school year, 16 students identified as non-binary, and by the 2023/2024 school year, this number has risen to 791.

The concept of “non-binary” goes completely against the scientific idea of biological sex (male or female), ignoring that gender is made up of physical and biological traits of human chromosomes. This concept is under the rainbow umbrella of “gender identity theory” along with the idea of being “trans”. Gender identity theory argues that gender is a spectrum and that individuals can identify in ways that blend elements of both genders, rejecting their biology and claim that gender is fluid.

The term “social contagion” can be applied to the rising trend among young children who identify as ‘non-binary’, as well as the children who self-identify as “transgender” and subsequently seek irreversible medical interventions to alleviate their gender confusion.

While these charts show the children who chose to become neither biological sex, it does not show the numerous amount of children who have socially transitioned from male to female or female to male. Social transitioning doesn’t require any surgeries or hormones, social transitioning is living the life of the opposite gender in preparation for more extreme, and permanent measures.

The chart below shows an upward trend with elementary and high school students identifying as non-binary, while the number of middle school students identifying as non-binary has decreased in the 2023/2024 school year compared to the previous year.

The rise of non-binary identities in society has been a result of social media influence, a loss of identity from the pandemic masks and lockdowns and gender identity concepts taught in the New Jersey public schools system. Assignments like the one below (reportedly from Lacey Township NJ highschool) are part of the 2020 K-12 sex education standards set forth by the state. The constant teaching of gender identity in the colleges and the K-12 public school system solidifies what children are seeing on the internet.

In addition, there is a phenomenon of medical practices clustering around the treatment of gender dysphoria, the swift emergence of supporting legislation, and the alterations in education policies and sports policies all contributes to this gender dysphoria rapid, epidemic-like spread in the Northeast.

The good news is that there are now medical professionals getting involved to stop this madness. Last week, pediatricians, doctors, and medical organizations signed declaration to speak out against the harmful protocols promoted for children and adolescents who express discomfort with their biological sex.

Therefore, given the recent research and the revelations of the harmful approach advocated by WPATH and its followers in the United States, we, the undersigned, call upon the medical professional organizations of the United States, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the  Endocrine Society, the Pediatric Endocrine Society, American Medical Association, the American Psychological Association, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to follow the science and their European professional colleagues and immediately stop the promotion of social affirmation, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries for children and adolescents who experience distress over their biological sex.  Instead, these organizations should recommend comprehensive evaluations and therapies aimed at identifying and addressing underlying psychological co-morbidities and neurodiversity that often predispose to and accompany gender dysphoria. We also encourage the physicians who are members of these professional organizations to contact their leadership and urge them to adhere to the evidence-based research now available.

Even locally there has been action to change policies within the schools system. Last night Barnegat Township school district eliminated the Transgender policy 5756. This policy allows the school staff to direct the social transition (social affirmation) of K-12 children without the notification or permission of their parents.

Everyone needs to get involved. It is important that you get the right people on your school boards to make the right decision for your kids and family.
